Sonya is always worth listening to although I do get tired of hearing the same old same old about the lack of respect for children’s writers. I would say that winning this prize (congratulations, Sonya!) has done much to raise her profile. It’s probably true but Sonya more than most writers of YA fiction writes crossover novels so maybe she needs to talk to her publishers more firmly and persuade them to publicise more in the adult market.
