‘Town’ a winner

uqp.jpgGood news for James Roy, whose suite of short stories, Town, has won Ethel Turner Prize for Young People’s Literature in the NSW Premier’s Awards.

The Patricia Wrightson Prize has been awarded to Li Cunxin & illustrator Anne Spudvilas for The Peasant Prince, the picture book adaptation of Li’s international besteller Mao’s Last Dancer.

The Arts NSW website will have a full list of winners soon, but in the meantime, this Sydney Morning Herald report gives an overview.

Congratulations to them all.
